The T10 League was inspired by a desire to introduce a shorter and more thrilling format of cricket. With the success of T20 cricket, it was evident that shorter formats were captivating a broader audience and revolutionising the sport.
The idea was to push the boundaries further and create a format that offered even more excitement, entertainment, and fast-paced action within a compact timeframe. The T10 League aimed to cater to modern sports fans’ shorter attention spans and provide a cricketing spectacle that could be enjoyed in just a couple of hours.
The T10 League was officially launched in 2017, taking place in Sharjah, UAE. In its debut season, six teams participated, and the tournament was completed in just four days. This made it one of the shortest cricket leagues globally, emphasising its commitment to providing an intense and concise cricketing experience. Kerala Kings emerged as the champions.
In subsequent seasons, the T10 League shifted its base to Abu Dhabi, UAE, for a more modern and expansive platform. It is sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB). The league also expanded in terms of the number of teams, attracting more participants.

In your role as Chairman, what do you consider your most significant achievements, and how have they shaped the trajectory of these organisations?
As Chairman, I have achieved several significant milestones that have shaped the trajectory of organisations under my leadership at Mulk International. These include successfully expanding Mulk International into international markets, and establishing a global presence in the metals, energy, plastics, and construction industries. This diversified the company’s revenue streams and reduced reliance on specific markets. It increased resilience to regional economic fluctuations and positioned the company as a key player in multiple industries.
In addition, I have also implemented sustainability practices and eco-friendly technologies in Mulk Internationals’ operations, this was a natural step for the company. In line with the company’s global sustainability goals and regulations, Mulk International introduced another subsidiary– Metal Plast Industries FZE. Metal Plast is a supplier of recycled granules and other raw materials for various industries, positioning it as a responsible and environmentally conscious organisation.
These accomplishments have contributed to growth, diversification, global recognition, and a positive reputation. They have also positioned the organisations to navigate challenges and seize opportunities in their respective industries.
