Global technology group e& has launched a new initiative to provide UAE nationals with work experience while they await mandatory national service call-up.
The six-month programme targets recent high school graduates, offering them skill development opportunities and monthly remuneration equivalent to the national service allowance. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between education and military service, providing participants with practical work experience during their interim period.
Ali Al Mansoori, Chief Group People Officer at e& said, “Through Nukhbat Al Wattan, we honour and support the dedication of young Emiratis preparing to serve their country, providing them with valuable experiences and essential skills during this crucial stage of their lives. By bridging the gap between education and national service, we ensure they are better equipped to excel in their future careers and personal journeys.”
The programme aligns with the UAE’s mandatory national service requirements, which applies to all male nationals between 18 and 30 years of age, while remaining optional for women.

The company now operates across 38 countries, offering services ranging from advanced connectivity and entertainment to AI-powered solutions and cloud computing. Registration for the Nukhbat Al Wattan programme is now open for eligible candidates.
