In an industry often driven by speculation, slogans and overnight success stories, Alex Reinhardt has taken a markedly different path. A blockchain entrepreneur, author and mentor, Reinhardt has built his reputation around a simple but increasingly rare idea in crypto: technology should exist to serve people, not trends. His work spans blockchain infrastructure, payments and blockchain tools, with ULTIMA positioned as the centrepiece of an ecosystem designed for everyday use rather than abstract experimentation.
Reinhardt’s influence has grown quietly, shaped by consistency, discipline and a refusal to chase hype. Across multiple ventures, and now through his book YOU ARE NUMBER ONE – How to become a leader in 30 days and stay one forever, he has focused on leadership as a daily practice and blockchain as a practical utility. Reinhardt spoke to us about how that philosophy has guided his career, why most crypto projects fail, and why he believes Dubai has become one of the most important places in the world for Web3.
Consistency over noise
Asked what has helped him become one of the most influential figures in the crypto space, Reinhardt is disarmingly straightforward. “It’s all about consistency and a pragmatic approach,” he says. “My team and I have always tried not to follow trends, but to create something really useful.”
That emphasis on usefulness has shaped every project he has worked on. From blockchain infrastructure to payment cards, Reinhardt insists that each initiative has been designed around real-world needs rather than speculative narratives. “Each of our projects, from blockchain to payment cards, was born out of the real needs of people,” he explains. “And you know what? The impact comes naturally when people see that your technology really works for them.”
This approach has helped Reinhardt build credibility with users rather than traders. Influence, in his view, is not something that can be engineered through visibility alone. It is earned when technology delivers tangible value, consistently, over time.
Leadership as discipline
That same thinking underpins Reinhardt’s decision to write YOU ARE NUMBER ONE. The book, he explains, grew out of years of mentoring founders and professionals who kept asking the same question: how to stay productive, focused and motivated over the long term.
“This book came about because of my mentoring experience,” Reinhardt says. “People kept asking, ‘How do you manage to stay so productive and motivated every day?’ And I decided to turn this whole experience into a clear 30-day programme.”
Crucially, the ideas in the book are not theoretical. “My team and I have tested all these principles ourselves, and you know, they really work!” he says. For Reinhardt, leadership is not about authority or charisma, but about structure and habits. “For me, leadership begins with discipline – every morning I start with a workout, a little meditation and a call with the team.”
He is explicit about rejecting the idea of leadership as a title. “Leadership is not a position, but a way of life, habits that I myself observe every day.” In an industry that often celebrates founders as visionaries detached from routine, Reinhardt’s focus on repetition and self-management feels almost countercultural.

Making crypto invisible
If leadership is about habits, mass adoption in crypto, Reinhardt believes, is about simplicity. “Personally, I believe mass adoption will only happen when crypto becomes truly simple – almost invisible in how easy it feels,” he says.
The comparison he draws is deliberate. “I want people to use blockchain without even realising they’re using a complex technology, just like they use a banking app today.” That belief drives product design across the ULTIMA ecosystem, with a focus on removing friction at every level.
“That’s what drives our team every day,” he says. “We work to remove every barrier – technical, financial, and even psychological – by creating intuitive products, lowering the entry threshold, and integrating blockchain into real life through payments, gaming, and everyday financial tools.”
Building ULTIMA for long-term use
ULTIMA was conceived with that philosophy in mind. “When my team and I started building ULTIMA, we set a clear goal – to create a blockchain that delivers real value to people and businesses,” Reinhardt says.
Technically, the platform has been designed to compete with the fastest networks in the space. “Today, ULTIMA combines speed and scalability – with 3-second block generation and over 2,000 transactions per second,” he notes. But Reinhardt is quick to frame this as a foundation rather than an end point.
“We still see this as just the beginning.” His longer-term ambition is for ULTIMA to function as an integrated environment rather than a standalone chain. “Our vision is for ULTIMA to become a living ecosystem where people can interact, exchange, and build new solutions effortlessly, in a transparent and reliable environment.”
Avoiding hype-driven failure
Reinhardt is blunt about why so many crypto projects collapse. “You know, many crypto projects fail because they exist for the sake of HYPE, not for the sake of people,” he says. “My team and I decided from the very beginning: if the technology does not bring real benefits, it has no right to exist.”
To avoid that fate, he follows a set of principles that prioritise durability over speed. “Benefit first. A project grows only if it really helps people. Everything we create solves real problems.” He also emphasises how interconnected systems strengthen one another. “The relationship of the components. Our products reinforce each other. They don’t exist separately — only together they create real value.”
Usage, rather than valuation, is the metric that matters most. “Growth through use. We look at real metrics: how many people use the product, how often, and what benefits they receive.” Feedback loops are equally important. “I personally communicate with users, and every mistake becomes an opportunity for improvement.”
Above all, Reinhardt insists on patience. “Long-term perspective. We are building for decades, not for quick earnings.”

Redefining success in crypto
That long-term view also shapes how Reinhardt defines success. “For me, true success isn’t measured in token charts — it’s when people genuinely need and use what we’ve built every single day,” he says.
He describes success as practical and personal rather than financial. “When our products make their lives easier, safer, and more independent. That’s the moment I feel we’re moving in the right direction.”
Accessibility is central to that definition. “We see success when someone without deep technical knowledge can join our ecosystem and become part of the blockchain revolution — simply, naturally, without barriers.” Internally, his team tracks adoption rather than hype. “My team and I track real adoption: active wallets, transactions, and how quickly new users reach their first meaningful result.”
Advice for the next generation
For aspiring blockchain leaders, Reinhardt’s advice is grounded in discipline rather than inspiration. “If I’ve learned one thing over the years, it’s that discipline always beats talent,” he says. “Inspiration fades — systems stay.”
He returns repeatedly to the idea of daily structure. “Every morning, I remind myself that small, consistent actions shape big results.” Hype, in his view, is a distraction. “Don’t rely on hype or luck. Build habits, build structure, and build people around you who challenge you to grow.”
Leadership, he adds, is about clarity and endurance. “The best leaders aren’t the loudest – they’re the ones who can explain complex things simply and keep their vision alive when others give up. Leadership is a daily practice, not a title.”
Expanding the ecosystem
Looking ahead, Reinhardt outlines two main priorities for expanding the ULTIMA ecosystem. “We’re expanding ULTIMA in two main directions,” he says.
“First, our team is focused on developing consumer products – cryptowallet and crypto card – that make blockchain technology simple and practical for everyday use.” The second focus is infrastructure for advanced users. “We’re scaling the trading platform that unites trading bots, analytical tools, and automation features built on ULTIMA’s fast and secure infrastructure.”
A key component is what he calls Splitting Technology. “Another core element of our ecosystem is Splitting Technology — an innovation that ensures stable growth and real participation.” Its purpose is redistribution and sustainability. “It redistributes rewards fairly across users and supports liquidity in a sustainable, transparent way.”
Together, these elements are designed to function as a single system. “All of this forms a single, interconnected environment where people and developers can experience the full potential of blockchain in real life.”

Why Dubai matters
Reinhardt is unequivocal about Dubai’s role in the future of crypto. “Honestly, Dubai feels like the right place for everything we’re building,” he says. What stands out to him is execution. “Every time I come here, I’m impressed by how fast ideas turn into real projects.
”For his team, the environment is energising rather than restrictive. “The UAE doesn’t just talk about innovation – it actually makes it happen.” Clear rules matter. “The clear regulations, advanced infrastructure, and openness to new technologies create an environment where you can move fast and think big.”
The man behind the projects
Away from blockchain, Reinhardt’s routines are structured but reflective. “I start early – physical training, meditation, and planning,” he says.
“Mornings are for deep work, afternoons for the team and partnerships.” Each day ends with reflection. “I finish every day by reflecting on what I’ve built, not just what I’ve done.”
Few people, he admits, know about his connection to music. “Few people know that music has always been a big part of my life. I used to compose and even record small tracks.” Music, for him, is a way to think differently. “When I’m working on complex projects, I often think in musical terms: rhythm, harmony, balance.”
