Spas are aplenty in Dubai, but those willing to travel a little further than their local corner can find a real-life sanctuary within the Anantara Palm Dubai Resort. Purposely located only a few steps from the valet and on the other side of a moat-like waterway, the spa is a tranquil home for rejuvenation.

Spread across two tiers, there are 24 treatment rooms for males and females, as well as couples’ suites fitted with a Serali steam bath, experience showers and an infinity solo pool bath. On the second floor, two new 34-square metre couples’ massage rooms include a sauna, showers and whirlpool featuring Microsilk technology, the first in the region.

With a holistic cocoon room and Ayurveda suite, too, the spa offers more than 30 treatments, spanning wellness therapies from Asia to the Middle East. It is particularly special for its traditional hammam rituals, Ayurvedic treatments and results-oriented facials, while the Arabian Massage’s deep-arm technique is the choice for those with extra-tough knots.

Carved elephants and dainty swans made from towels and decorated with rose petals continue the Asian theme and invoke a sense a welcome.
An afternoon or a day, anytime spent at the Anantara spa is like a short trip to utopia.
