When John Jacob Aster IV founded the St. Regis in New York back in 1904, he wanted to create the most luxurious hotel in the city. The Presidential Suite became one of the finest in New York and regularly booked out by visiting dignitaries, celebrities and titans of the industrial era. Now it’s been newly renovated, and continues to enhance the St. Regis legacy of luxury.
Once through the large foyer on the 16th floor of the hotel, the 3,430-square-foot residence boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with views over Central Park, Fifth Avenue and 55th Street.
Inside you’ll find Waterford crystal chandeliers, bevelled mirrors and an eclectic collection of fine art. The suite includes a formal dining room, kitchen, living room and wood-panelled library, along with three bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The master suite has its own private lounge, large dressing room and bathroom that’s more spa than shower room. The room comes with its own staff and chef – if you’d like to make use of the fully-stocked kitchen. And just like in the good old days of Astor’s year, the room comes complete with a butler – at your beck-and-call 24-hours a day.
