The Waldorf-Astoria is no slouch when it comes to luxury. Situated on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah, the low-rise (for most hotels in the region, anyway) property is almost immaculate.
With a shining bright, white façade and tastefully-decorated interiors, it champions good taste above all else. As you might expect, rooms are spacious and fitted with all the usual hotel bells and whistles, however it’s the Chairman suite that will most impress.
It features a grand foyer connected to an incredible living space consisting of a lounge, kitchen, dining room and a separate office. Two bedrooms open up to the large balcony, providing views of the Arabian Gulf beyond. If you can tear yourself away from the view, you’ll find what is certainly one of the largest master bathrooms in the region.
The room is tastefully-decorated, as is the rest of the hotel, albeit with a few high-tech touches. Each of the bedrooms and living rooms comes with high-definition entertainment, all controllable via a panel of switches on the wall.
While guests gain access to the Waldorf Astoria Lounge – a private area with complimentary breakfast, drinks and snacks throughout the day – the Waldorf’s restaurants should not be ignored. In particular, The Social – put together by 3-Michelin starred chef Heinz Becks – is sure to impress.
