The Celebration Brunch: Roberto's, DIFC
The Celebration Brunch: Roberto's, DIFC

Roberto’s is known for offering spectacular Italian food at respectable prices, and the place is usually packed out on weekday afternoons (it offers an excellent business lunch) and evenings. And why shouldn’t it be?

Located in Dubai’s busy Financial Centre, thousands of business high-fliers walk past its doors on a daily basis, and it has done well to create the type of reputation other restaurants would die for. However, it’s not immune to the general DIFC weekend slowdown – when it’s not a workday, people simply don’t go into the area.

But the restaurant is hoping to change all that, and draw back its stylish clientele with a brunch inspired by the idyllic summers of the Amalfi coast.

The Andiamo brunch – which happens each Friday afternoon – gives guests a speciality menu designed just for them, and features a mixture of shared seafood starters and a la carte mains.

The brunch begins with a large seafood platter, a mixture of lobster, king crab, oysters, prawns, clams and mussels, followed by hot and cold antipasti. Guests choose one main each at the start of the meal, with food ranging from rock salt baked sea bass, slow-cooked wagyu short ribs, and if you’re happy to share, a huge grilled tomahawk steak designed for two.

The food is good, the service stellar, and the experience is well worth another trip back to DIFC (especially if you work there).
