Legends has been a landmark of the Dubai brunch scene for a decade, and there’s no question why. With an outdoor terrace that offers views of the creek and downtown skyline, you couldn’t ask for a more picturesque spot to enjoy a meal – day or night.
Even in hotter climes when the heat drives guests inside, you’ll still be able to benefit from the scenery through the large floor-to-ceiling windows.
The food here has been refined and improved over the years, and the ‘brunch’ menu is where the Legend’s dishes shine. There’s a range of international options to choose from at first – the likes of sashimi, falafel, hummus and Caprese salad, for example – but the mains stay true to Legend’s Steakhouse theme.
There’s American, Australian, French and Irish beef to choose from, and if you’re feeling brave enough, guests can even get stuck into a 450g Tomahawk steak. For those who want to share the meat – or try a few different cuts – the Legends platter offers four 80g steaks of your choice.
Like all good steakhouses, the sides here are excellent. The rosemary roasted potatoes are a mist-order, as are the chunky seasonal vegetables. Vegetarians are also well catered for, with a selection of fish and pasta to choose from – the ravioli with goats cheese is exceptionally moreish.
Desserts too are worthy of mention. Particularly the banana tart served with clotted cream, almond ice cream and warm Tanariva chocolate sauce.
