The HYT H2 Tradition takes an inherently modern watch and makes it a bit more retro

The H2 Tradition is a watch no one ever expected. Not least because HTY’s founder Vincent Perriard, said he would never make a watch with a traditional horological aesthetic.

Let alone one that makes use of trademark watchmaking decorative techniques (such as guilloche, lacquered dials or blue steel hands).

And yet here it is, a limited edition that does all of the above. The H2 then is a thoroughly modern watch in a retro suit.

It makes use of HYT’s customary ultra-complicated and manually-wound mechanical movement that uses liquid in a blue tube to indicate the hours. However, this is paired with a traditional dial for the minutes and seconds.

Other traditional elements include machine-engraving on the movement, as well as case materials produced from 18k white gold and titanium, with some rose gold elements on the dial. It’s limited to just 50 pieces.
