According to its founder, Mr Alessandro Berluti, “you cannot be elegant if you are not comfortable and well shod.” Fitting words from a shoemaker that was founded way back in 1895.

2. RAGHAVENDRA RATHORE JODHPUR
Rathore’s designs are nothing new on the sub-continent, but now he’s looking to expand his brand of formalwear into new markets. As well as bespoke suiting, Rathore has ranges for both men and women.
As its name suggests, the brand takes inspiration from Jodhpur – its history and its architecture. As such, clothes often have visual flair, including intricate gold stitching or ‘traditional’ items made modern. Rathore also has patent rights on Jodphurs and Brandhgala jackets, complete with sleeker silhouettes (but still making use of traditional techniques, including sequins and embroidery).
3. DUNHILL AUTUMN WINTER 2016
Founded in 1893 by Alfred Dunhill, the brand has traditionally excelled at motoring accessories. Over the past decade, it’s grown to be one of only a handful of quintessentially British luxury labels, championing understated elegance that borrows deeply from British heritage.

4. OMEGA SUNGLASSES
Your eyes don’t deceive you. Watchmaker Omega is branching out into sunglasses. Better known for its precision timekeepers, Omega’s shades are part of a wider partnership between Swiss Swatch Group and Italian eyewear maker Marcolin Group.
5. MONTBLANC SARTORIAL COLLECTION
Montblanc is known for its writing instruments, but also launched a collection of leather goods way back in 1935. The sartorial collection is expertly crafted in the brand’s Florence workshop, from Italian full-grain hide. It’s then chrome-tanned for a softer finish.
6. PAL ZILLERI
Veteran menswear label Pal Zileri has been supplying its own take on European elegance through fashion since the 1980s. It makes use of wool sourced from some of the world’s leading manufacturers, and put together by mast craftsmen with decades of experience.
