Graff is one of the biggest names in the world of high-end jewellery. What the company is particularly good at is combining a certain sense of showiness with elegance.
If you want to show off, but with a dash of style, then Graff is the way to go. New for 2016 is the limited edition GyroGraff World. Graff almost always includes its own name in the titles of its watches, and this one is no different. What makes it unique, however, is the dial.
Far from sticking a load of diamonds to it (which is Graff’s usual style), the GyroGraff World involves three-dimensional globes. There is a ‘standard’ section showing the hours and minutes, but also features a double-axis tourbillon, power reserve indicator and 3D moon phase indicator.
This tracks the progression of the moon through its lunar cycle, completing one lunar rotation every 29.5 days. The hand-engraved craters on the moon actual represent real depressions on its surface, and the wearer can even customise it to show the continent of their choice.
