The Presidential Suite: The Park Hyatt Dubai Creek
The Presidential Suite: The Park Hyatt Dubai Creek

The Park Hyatt is one of the most visually distinct in the city. The subtle blend of Moroccan, Mediterranean and Arabian influences – both inside and out – are exactly what you’d expect from a hospitality brand of this calibre (and faraway from the usual ‘token’ Middle Eastern design flair of covering everything in gold leaf). The pool, for example, is surrounded by shady palms and the low-rise hotel buildings and, the hotel’s location alongside a golf course and Dubai’s creek, provide the entire property with an air of serene calm.

The style continues inside, most notably in one of the hotel’s largest suites. Light, white and bright – it mimics the exterior of the building with shades of cream, ivory and pearl. There are subtle and tasteful features – such as patterned carpets and screens – that remind guests that they’re in the Middle East (without making it too obvious).

Design aside, the Presidential suite takes up the entire top floor of the property – all 220-square-metres of it. There are designated living, dining and kitchen areas, along with a private terrace that offers panoramic marina views. Guests can choose to eat at one of the three restaurants within the hotel, or perhaps request one of the hotel’s chefs to prepare something bespoke in their very own room.
