It’s hard to believe this futuristic two-wheeler started life as a 1967 Honda Super Sport – one of the most popular motorbikes in history.
The bike was plucked from relative obscurity – there are millions still in use around South-East Asia – and stripped from the ground up. Now it features a hand-polished unibody fuel tank in glimmering chrome, and everything from the seat to the cowl has been finished as one cohesive design.
The EVE MK II started life as a 1957 Honda Super Sport. “Everyone tends to go old-school on custo designs with a few tweaks to make it look current,” says Bandit9’s founder Daryl Villanueva, “we tend to ignore the past and make leaps forward”.
Built by one of Vietnam’s premiere design firms, Bandit9 produced nine of the bikes exclusively for the MB&F M.A.D. Gallery. While the bike’s design was improved, it still makes use of the same 125c air-cooled engine with a top speed of 105 kilometres-per-hour.
