After a three-and-a-half year treasure hunt, Jacob & Co has unveiled the luxurious Billionaire Timeless Treasure. Composed of 425 fancy yellow and fancy intense yellow Asscher-cut diamonds, this timepiece is the result of a truly titanic effort.
After thousands of hours of cutting, 880 carats of rough yellow diamonds have been honed to 216.89 carats. These 425 Asscher-cut gems are laid out individually like a miniature mosaic on a paradoxically unprecedented scale.
Their fancy yellow and fancy intense yellow colour is enhanced by the unique green glow of tsavorites. The Billionaire skeleton tourbillon movement is adorned with another 57 yellow baguette-cut diamonds.
The joint effort required to create the Billionaire Timeless Treasure called upon the talents of ten people involved in sourcing, sorting and cutting the gems. Fifteen more were involved in crafting the yellow gold lattice structure, setting it and casing up the movement.
Under the expert and uncompromising eye of Seraina Wicht, head of gemmology watch production at Jacob & Co, 880 carats of the rarest and most opulent yellow diamonds, some of them reaching 2.50 carats, have contributed to this masterpiece.

Crafting the Billionaire Timeless Treasure was not only a game of patience, but also of skills and colour. In the overall scheme of this new type of Billionaire, each gem has a designated place. The larger ones are meant for the case, which comprises 46 of them totalling 55.15 carats.
The first rows of the 159 carat bracelet also demand hefty gems, with their individual size diminishing in perfectly regular increments as they near the clasp. The gems are however not placed according to their original size, as colour is the sole criterion, implying the cutting of several large stones and a correspondingly massive amount of unused material.
