There are more than 20,000 private jets in active service worldwide, the majority based in North America and Europe. This concentration highlights how the industry remains heavily skewed towards wealth hubs, though Asia and the Middle East are growing faster.

The business jet market is worth $95.80 billion in 2024 and is forecast to reach $157 billion by 2032, reflecting a CAGR of about 6.4 %. Rising demand for long-range jets and new charter models are driving much of this expansion.

Private aircraft market growth – Valued at $28 billion in 2024, the private aircraft market is expected to hit $48 billion by 2032, growing at roughly 7% annually. This includes both new aircraft deliveries and aftermarket services, with strong orders from OEMs like Gulfstream and Bombardier.

Charter market expansion – The private jet charter segment was worth $21.24 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow by more than 14 % in 2025 alone. This surge is being fuelled by jet-card programs and subscription models that make private flying more accessible than outright ownership.

In 2024, large-cabin aircraft represented 53% of global charter revenue, showing the preference of UHNWIs for long-range, high-capacity jets. Their popularity is tied to intercontinental travel, particularly routes linking the Middle East to Europe, Asia, and the US.

The Middle East private jet market is currently valued at $566 million, with forecasts of reaching $943 million by 2029. This nearly 70 % jump reflects the region’s rapid growth in UHNWIs, tourism, and corporate travel demand.

Within the GCC, the private jet sector is valued at $730 million today and is projected to grow to $1.26 billion by 2030. Saudi Arabia and the UAE dominate the market, but smaller Gulf states like Qatar and Kuwait are expanding infrastructure to capture more activity.

The UAE’s business jet market was $44.96 million in 2023, and is on track to grow to $76.36 million by 2031. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are investing heavily in private aviation terminals, positioning the UAE as a regional hub for charter and ownership.
