Dubai’s iconic restaurant Al Muntaha, located at Burj Al Arab in Jumeirah, has been crowned by Gault&Millau as the UAE Restaurant of the Year.
The restaurant’s win was announced at the Gault&Millau 2024 gala awards on Wednesday.
In 2022, Al Muntaha was honoured as one of the three restaurants to be awarded three toques in Gault&Millau UAE’s inaugural year.
Its journey continued in 2023 when it achieved a score of 17, earning an additional fourth toque.
Now, in 2024, the restaurant has once again raised the bar, securing the coveted title of Restaurant of the Year.
The secret behind Al Muntaha’s success lies in its unwavering pursuit of perfection. Every member of the team, from the manager and sommelier to the executive chef, waiters, and kitchen staff, shares a common goal of achieving greatness.
This commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of the dining experience, from the thoughtfully selected ingredients to the presentation of tableware and glassware.
The staff, dressed in stylish and perfectly tailored suits and uniforms, further contribute to the overall ambiance.

Under the guidance of Chef Saverio Sbaragli – who was also crowned Chef of the year at the awards – the menu at Al Muntaha offers a concise selection of Italian and French cuisine.
“Recipes are constructed meticulously of incredible individual parts but are also perfect as a whole. Al Muntaha has unrivalled service, impeccable food and ambition in abundance. It also has the title of Gault&Millau UAE Restaurant of the Year 2024,” the Gault&Millau 2024 review of the restaurant reads.
