Centrepoint, Middle East’s leading fashion retailer, has announced its partnership with well-known Saudi artist Bayan Yasien, aiming to bring a fresh blend of art to its stores. This partnership is an important step forward in Centerpoint’s continuous efforts to improve the shopping experience, assist regional talent, and honour Saudi Arabia’s forward thinking towards the future.

Raza Beig, Director of Centrepoint, has long been an advocate for incorporating art into the retail industry, and he is the driving force behind Centrepoint’s creative approach. This project was inspired by his conviction that art has the power to change ordinary retail spaces into lively, motivating places.

“At Centrepoint, we’ve always believed that retail is more than just transactions – it’s about creating experiences that resonate with our customers on a deeper level,” Beig explained in an exclusive interview. “Our collaboration with Bayan Yasien is a testament to this philosophy. We’re not just selling products; we’re curating an environment that celebrates our culture, supports our youth, and inspires our community.”

Bayan Yasien, a Jeddah-based artist whose work has garnered national acclaim, brings a unique perspective to this collaboration. Known for her ability to capture the essence of Saudi culture in vivid, emotive strokes, Yasien’s art is a window into the soul of the Kingdom.

“My art is a love letter to Saudi Arabia,” Yasien shared. “It’s about the stories whispered in the alleyways of old Jeddah, the laughter echoing through family gatherings, and the dreams of our youth reaching for the stars. When Centrepoint approached me with this opportunity, I saw it as a chance to bring these stories to a wider audience, to let our heritage shine in unexpected places.”

Yasien’s first piece for Centrepoint, titled “Our Heritage is Our Present and Future,” is a visual narrative that weaves together traditional motifs with contemporary elements. This masterpiece will be unveiled across all Centrepoint stores in Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the celebration of Saudi National Day.

This collaboration is a part of Centrepoint’s larger initiative to support regional talent. The company is fostering the development of Saudi Arabia’s art scene in addition to improving its retail spaces by giving artists like Yasien a platform.

“Supporting local artists is essential for our culture,” Beig emphasised. “Providing opportunities for artists to reach new audiences and for our customers to engage with art in their daily lives.”
